STERLING, KAN – The Sterling Softball program announced Thursday the signing of five softball student-athletes for the 2016 season. Morgan Coslor, Samantha Edgar, Megan Potter, Brittany Roberts, and Brittany Swinney have all signed their letters of intent to play softball under Head Coach Josh Musselman.

Morgan Coslor will be an incoming freshman catcher from Port Charlotte, Florida. Morgan’s father, Cord Coslor, is a former Warrior’s baseball player, as well as, an alum of Sterling College. “We are looking forward to Morgan’s ability to hit with gap power, and she carries solid catching fundamentals to the table. We were impressed with her God given desires to continue to grow in faith during her years at Sterling,” Coach Musselman.

Samantha Edgar will be an incoming freshman pitcher/outfielder from Royse City, Texas. “We have a strong feeling we truly have a diamond in rough situation with Samantha. She can pitch with deceptive quickness and her hitting is excellence. From the moment she came onto to campus for her visit we knew she would be a perfect fit,” said Coach Musselman.

Megan Potter will be an incoming freshman first baseman from Inman, Kansas. “We were very impressed with how Megan carried herself doing her practice with us. She showed great hustle and character. She has strong Christian values and will be a perfect fit for our school,” said Coach Musselman.

Brittany Roberts will be an incoming freshman outfielder from Decatur, Texas. Roberts was a second-team District 9-3A selection last year. “Brittany has a lot of passion for the game and she has good softball instincts. She’s fast. Which will really help her make the transition from shortstop in high school to outfield for us,” said Coach Musselman.

Brittany Swinney will be an incoming freshman pitcher/third baseman from Riverside, California. Brittany plays for Art Lilly’s SoCal Dynasty. “She brings a positive attitude and will be a great addition to our pitching staff for next year. We are excited to have her with us,” said Coach Musselman.
