Barton Community College women’s soccer team’s season came to an end for the fourth straight year in the Region VI semifinals when No. 5 ranked Butler Community defeatem the Lady Cougars 2-0 Thursday at the Topeka Hummer Sports Park. Barton ends the season at 9-7 while the Grizzlies advance to the. championship game against No. 14 Johnson County Community College.
Despite playing one of its top defensive efforts of the season and limiting the high powered Grizzlies to two goals, the Lady Cougars suffered its sixth straight loss to the Grizzlies dating back to 2010.
