The Barton Community College soccer teams landed in the top four in the recently released Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) coaches poll.
Under second year Head Coach Aaron Avila the Cougars look prime for another run at a conference title after a sub-Cougar like sixth place finish in 2014. Falling by a 1-0 score in the Region VI semifinals, conference coaches pick the Cougars second amongst the eleven members.
Establishing itself among the top four in Region VI the past three years, conference coaches predicted the trend to remain as fourth year Head Coach Aaron Avila and the Lady Cougars were tabbed fourth out of twelve conference teams. Like their men counterparts, the women also had a disappointing end to the 2015 season falling by an identical 1-0 in the region semifinals.
