The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has released the 2015 Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 Poll.  McPherson College received the No. 24 ranking.

“Another season with a lot of expectations,” said McPherson College Head Soccer Coach Doug Quint.  “It’s become the McPherson tradition that we work hard to uphold. Now it’s up to us to improve every day and show people that we deserve this respect.”

MC is coming off a 14-4-2 KCAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship season.  The Bulldogs return a solid core from the 2014 squad including All-KCAC players Nick Torres, Morgan Quintana, and Kevin Ndongo.

McPherson isn’t the only KCAC program getting attention in the men’s soccer polls.  Both conference newcomer Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Kansas Wesleyan University made the list.

“On a side note it was nice to see the conference getting much needed national respect,” continued Quint.  “We had three teams ranked in the Top 35 nationally.  In soccer that is very difficult to achieve as we have close to 200 schools all playing in one division.”

Bulldog soccer will hit the field on September 3rd for their first regular season contest; the team travels to Atchinson, Kansas to take on Benedictine College for a 7:30 p.m. (CT)
