Martha Holmes, who works for the Rural Messenger, and is an avid gardener, has the solution for any green tomatoes left this fall. Martha said, “This is from the women of Circle #6 of the Overland Park Presbyterian Church (where my grandmother was a member & she was born in 1895) that was printed in 1946. If you like it a little sweeter, you can add more brown sugar or if more tangy, add less.”
