Field and Stream has reported Brooke Bateman, 14, of Dallas, harvested one of the rarest trophy whitetails in North America in late November 21: an all-black, melanistic six-pointer. Brooke was hunting with her father, Mike Bateman, in Stephens County, Texas, when they spotted the deer. The complete story is available here.
