On April 30 – May 1, 2016 Kansas Horse Council is holding a ride across the sandstone bluffs and canyons of Kanopolis Lake. Participants can arrive on Friday, April 29 at Rockin’ K Campground, Kanopolis State Park; the event officaaly begins with a potluck dinner at shelter house at 7pm. On Saturday, April 30 10 am Riders leave camp returing around 3pm. Catered dinner at Shelter House is at 6; presentation by Jim Gray, local historian, author, and Exec Director of National Drovers Hall of Fame, Ellsworth; Door Prizes. Sunday, May 1 7-8 am Hot breakfast at Shelter House. (Meals catered by Steve Lindsey.) 9 am Riders leave camp. Return at Noon.
