On Saturday, October 21, the Cosmosphere will bring back the popular free public stargazing event, Starry Night: Astronomy Fest, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Hobart-Detter Field in Carey Park. While the Cosmosphere has held a similar event in past years, this evening will center solely on astronomy education.
Attendees are invited to bring their own telescope and learn how to properly use it during the 7:00 p.m. presentation “Using & Buying a Telescope”. At 8:00 p.m., Cosmosphere science educators will entertain the crowd with “Spooky Sky Stories” while leading the star observation portion of the event.
This event is hosted by the Cosmosphere Astronomy Club. For more information, please call the Cosmosphere Box Office at 620.662.2305.
