Central Christian College of Kansas proudly hosts the Chaney Lecture Series with guest speaker, Dr. David B. Schreiner on April 10-11, 2018. Dr. David B. Schreiner will discuss the relationship between archaeology and Biblical Studies by examining some of the most important archaeological finds on the record today.
Dr. David B. Schreiner is an Assistant Professor of Old Testament at Wesley Biblical Seminary and has published on a variety of subjects, including biblical archaeology, the history of biblical interpretation, and the exegesis of a number of Old Testament passages. He has also contributed to a variety of lay publications, including Bible Study Magazine. In addition, he is an active reviewer for a number of scholastic journals, is active in the Society of Biblical Literature and the Institute for Biblical Research, and is the co-chair of the Old Testament Study Group for the Society of Biblical Literature’s Southeast Region. He is currently writing a commentary on 1 and 2 Kings (Kregel) and Pondering the Spade (Wipf and Stock).
Dr. David Schreiner received his B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University, M.A. from Asbury Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. from Asbury Theological Seminary.
