Hutch Clinic Enhances Billing Processes For Better Patient Experience

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Aug. 16, 2021) – In response to patient and community feedback, the Hutchinson Clinic is proud to share a recent transformation of their billing processes.

“The Clinic’s mission is to maintain a culture of excellence by delivering the most advanced, timely, and compassionate care possible – and we believe each patient deserves this level of exceptional experience at all touchpoints of care,” said Dashun Monk, CFO of Hutchinson Clinic.

For the last three years, the Clinic has collaborated with a vendor to outsource the Central Billing Office – from back-end work like coding, to direct patient interaction regarding bills and payment. However, it became apparent over time that a remote team is unable to provide a level of service in alignment with a local approach to care.

“While our talented team of physicians, clinicians, and staff provide excellent care and customer service every day, we recognized through community feedback that our billing process and patient experience represented an opportunity to further align our performance with our mission,” Monk said.

To address these challenges and improve for the future, Hutch Clinic has returned all patient-facing aspects of billing locally and under the Clinic’s roof. Patients will now have direct access to a local team by calling 620-694-4163 or visiting the team’s office at the 2101 N. Waldron location, for support with bill questions, payment issues, price estimates, and more.

“We appreciate and thank those who have provided their feedback, and we look forward to our new and improved billing processes rooted in customer service,” said Monk.
