Experience the sights and sounds of historic flour milling at the Old Mill Museum’s MILLFEST, Saturday May 6th and Sunday May 7th, in Lindsborg.  The region’s oldest flour mill springs to life just once a year so don’t miss it!  Millers direct operations as visitors (ages 13 & up) tour the one-hundred year old mill in action.   The sights and sounds of the mill thrill visitors and leave a lasting impression.

Area artists demonstrate traditions such as blacksmithing, quilting, wood-carving, rope-making, basketry, wheat-weaving and more!  This year’s Millfest Quilt Show features beautiful quilts from the McPherson Quilt Guild.   Stop to see the display Saturday and create a new block for a future quilt! Live music by area artists fills the air and provides a festive backdrop to the many activities.

On Sunday enjoy free carriage rides with Country Boys Carriage of Newton.

No need to go hungry as Shelly D’s serves up delicious fare throughout the event.  It’s a weekend of family fun at Millfest!   Step back time and enjoy our Kansas heritage at this unique event.  Hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and 12:00 – 5:00 on Sunday. Admission is just $2 for adults, $1 for ages 6-12, and under 6 are FREE.   Admission includes a mill tour for those ages 13 and up. Tours are ongoing both days.  Tours are limited to this group as a safety precaution.  A viewing area outside the mill is available for those under 13, with tours for younger children at 5 pm after the machinery is turned off.
