171 million chicks for meat production during the week ending February 13, 2016, up 2 percent from the year earlier. Cumulative placements from the week ending January 9, 2016 through February 13, 2016 for the United States were 1.06 billion. Cumulative placements were up 1 percent from the same period a year earlier.
