Students at 20 public and private schools in Kansas learned about current biomedical science research last month from someone other than their regular classroom teachers. For the second year in a row, teams of Kansas DNA Day ambassadors visited schools from Wichita to Kansas City, making interactive presentations on genomic inheritance, personalized medicine and model organisms.
