Free Gingerbread House Kit for Virtual Gingerbread House Contest! – at the McPherson Convention & Visitors Bureau, 1111 E. Kansas Ave. Open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. One gingerbread house kit per family. Growth and Development Screening- 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in Lindsborg. Birth to age 5. Due to COVID-19, screening might be cancelled and/or change depending on state recommendations. Call the Early Childhood Office for an appointment, 620-241-9590.
Saturday, December 5th
Canton Holiday Style- 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the McPherson County Fairgrounds in Canton.
Lots of activities including the Christmas Wish Fair at the high school, sleigh rides, visits from Santa, amazing vendors indoor and outdoor, concessions and much more.

Snowflake Parade- 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in Downtown Lindsborg. Don’t just come and watch! Plan to be part of the fun! All snowflakes, Christmas bells, snowmen, reindeer, tomtes, and ugly sweater-wearers are welcome! Parade line up at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Church, 320 N. Main. Holiday Open House & 50/50 Reverse Raffle- 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at the McPherson Museum, 1111 E. Kansas. Gift wrapping, activities, crafts, refreshments, and free admission to the museum! Raffle tickets can be purchased at the museum or online at www.mcphersonmuseum.com/ for a chance to win cash prizes and an annual family membership to the museum. Drawing will be held on Facebook Live.

Sunday, December 6th
Winter Trail Ride- at the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge, 2565 Pueblo Road in Canton. Bring your horse and ride the 2800-acre prairie. See bison, elk, and other wildlife. Ride starts promptly at 10 a.m., lunch break, then back out for the afternoon. Cost for full day & meal: $35 each, ½ day with meal: $25 each. Reservations or more information please call 620628-4455.

Holiday Lights Trolley Tour- Tickets go on sale November 2nd. Trolley will board and drop off at the McPherson Museum, 1111 E. Kansas Ave. at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. each night. Masks are REQUIRED to ride the trolley. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling 620-241-8464 and will only be held for 24 hours. Only 12 tickets are available for each tour. Trolley will be cleaned and sanitized after each tour. Hosted by McPherson CVB.
Saturday, December 12th
Cookies with Santa- 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. at Awaken Church, 223 S. Main. Part of the McPherson Chamber and McPherson Main Street Holiday Promotion.
Christmas on the Prairie- at the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge, 2565 Pueblo Road in Canton. An old-fashioned Christmas on the prairie, which includes a 45-minute tour in the covered winter tram. After the tour enjoy cocoa or coffee and homemade cookies in the Visitor’s Center. Tour times: 10 a.m. & 11 a.m. Cost: $13 each for adults/ $6.50 each for children.
