Western Kansas Forage Conference to be Held February 20, 2017 in Larned

MANHATTAN – Come join the discussion with Jeff Rasawehr, Ohio Farmer and co-founder of Cover Crop Ranch on the integration of cover crops within a crop production system. He along with several Kansas State University and Industry experts and vendors will be coving numerous topics including: Cover Crops, Pasture Weed Management, Grazing Animal Health Management and Pasture Risk Insurance.

The conference is being put on by KSU Research and Extension with sponsorship provided by the Kansas Forage and Grassland Council, W-L Alfalfas, Sharp Brothers Seed, Kaufman Seed, Spring Creek Ag Services, Prairie Seeds and Sorghum Partners.

Registration is $25 for Kansas Forage and Grassland Council members and $55 for non-members. Fees cover lunch, conference proceedings, membership in both the Kansas and American Forage and Grassland Councils, and subscriptions to Hay & Forage Magazine, Progressive Forage Grower, the Quarterly AFGC Newsletter and AFGC E-News. Registration for the Western Kansas Forage Conference begins at 8:30 am, with the program starting at 9:00 am and running until 3:00 pm, onMonday, February 20, 2017 at the J.A. Haas Building, 400 E. 18th Street, Larned, Kansas.
