Wichita’s Veteran’s Day parade will be held on November 5

The Veteran’s Day Parade will be held Saturday, November 5 at 11 A.M. The parade will commemorate the National Defense Act of 1916. The route will be on Main Street and ending at the Wichita Waterwalk. The Veterans Day parade is put on by Wichita JROTC groups and sponsored by local businesses. After the parade, festivities continue at the Waterwalk fountain area (just west of the Waterwalk building on Main Street). Past events included military displays, a car show, food trucks, and other activities. Plan on ending the day at the Cotillion for the Veteran Appreciation Concert which starts at 6 P.M. Scheduled to perform are: Mike Leichner, Bucky Fowler & Southern Charm, Mountain Deer Revival, Callahan Band, and Timmy Jonas & The Whisky Militia.
