(Washington, D.C., July 30, 2020) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be in Preston and Cordova, MD TOMORROW, Friday, July 31st. The Secretary will visit Choptank Transport, a warehouse that Vincent Farms is partnering with to deliver U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farmers to Families Food Boxes – USDA has distributed over 50 million food boxes in support of American farmers and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Secretary will also participate in a ReConnect Program Announcement at Triple Creek Winery with Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford. The $13 million in ReConnect funding announced tomorrow will deploy high-speed broadband in rural Maryland, benefitting nearly 9,000 people.
