Abilene Reflector Chronicle reported that an Abilene community project mural was unveiled Wednesday afternoon.  The project was spearheaded by Abilene High School art teacher Toni Britt and Abilene High School graduating senior Katie Howie.  Britt and Howie along with about 50 other painters created the mural over  an estimated 500 hours of work. The work of art shows the important historical heritage that belongs to Abilene.  The Community Foundation of Dickinson County supported the project with a special grant for the cost.  Elinor Haas chairs the foundations committee that provided the grant.
