Retired Range Management Specialist David Kraft will discuss basic guidelines for grass management, focusing on strategies for controlling invasive species, as the Cheney Lake Watershed’s final Winter Workshop speaker on Thursday.

Whether the concern is Old World bluestem, sericea lespedeza, sand plum, or trees, Kraft will have some advice for keeping ahead of the game.

Kraft, formerly with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, will be speaking in Arlington Amish Mennonite Church, 15611 W. Arlington Road. The church youth group will start serving lunch at noon, with Kraft speaking after.
