There will be two opportunities for you to help the Smoky Hill River. Saturday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 3 are clean-up days for the river. Check-in for September 12 will occur at University United Methodist Church on the corner of Santa Fe & Claflin Ave. Check-in for October 3 will occur at Kenwood Park by the Locomotive. Call Volunteer Connection at (785) 823-3128, email, [email protected], or fill out a form at 239 N. Santa Fe. Ave. to be a worker for the river on one or both of these days.
By volunteering on these days you will receive a free t-shirt, breakfast for your service to the river and community.
