The Pratt County Historical Society received the collection of the Jon Hartman Native American Collection after his death in December of 2014. Since that time contractors have been working to create space, build displays and add security for the approximately 800 items in the collection. About a third of the collection is on display with the other items being displayed on a rotating into displays in the museum on a 6 to 8-month schedule. Some of the items include a wooden flute that is 1,000 years old, baskets, intricate bead work on clothing, pottery, toys weapons and framed display of arrowheads.
