Newton: A Newton woman, Cathy Funk, attended an award ceremony for her son SFC Daniel King, stationed at Fort Campbell received the prestigious Edmund L. Gruber award for Outstanding Field Artillery Soldier for superb individual performance resulting in significant contribution to Field Artillery fighting capabilities. King credited his team for the award. King attended Marion High School.
