Group of Larned High School graduates received Scholarships from Fort Hays University

The following 2016 Larned High School graduates have received Scholarships from Fort Hays University: Jennifer Applequist, accepted a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $500 Academic Opportunity Award. Jennifer is the daughter of Patrick and Keri Applequist, Larned. Katelyn Baker, accepted a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in chemistry. Katelyn is the daughter of Chris and DeAnn Baker, Larned, plans to major in chemistry. Grace Marshall, accepted a $500 Academic Opportunity Award in social work. Grace is the daughter of James and Valerie Marshall, Larned, plans to major in social work. Reed Russum, accepted a $3,500 Presidential Award of Distinction and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in history. Reed is the son of Pete and Patricia Russum, Larned, plans to major in history. Katherine Schroeder, accepted a $3,500 Presidential Award of Distinction and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in history. Katherine is the daughter of Bryan and Jamee Schroeder, Larned, plans to major in history. Tristan Smith, accepted a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $500 Academic Opportunity Award in art. Tristan is the son of Trent and Julie Smith, Larned, plans to major in art.
