On Saturday, April 16, 2016, The Cosmosphere’s popular monthly Space Out Saturday event returns with special bonuses for educators, scouts and those interested in Cosmosphere Camps.
The Explorer’s Workshop (which is geared for ages 5-10) will be offered at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM in the lobby of the Cosmosphere and feature activities that give a taste of the experience kids can have at a Cosmosphere Camp. Then, at 11:00 AM, kids of all ages can enjoy a Space Out Storytime during which they will sing, dance, read and have a blast enjoying a space themed literary adventure. Finally, at 1 p.m., Space Trek will provide all of our kid explorers the opportunity to travel through time and space to see all of the awesome artifacts that have flown to the moon and back.
This special edition of Space Out Saturday will also offer educators some additional perks. Educators who stop by the educator’s table in the lobby will receive coupons for free admission to the Hall of Space Museum and 20% off for the Cargo Bay Gift Store.
Finally, the Cosmosphere will be hosting a Camp Sampler Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The public can come to the Cosmosphere and visit camp areas to get a firsthand look at some of the activities only available to Cosmosphere Campers.
