Hesston College men’s tennis coach Myron Diener announces Josiah Borst, a recent graduate of Becker (Minn.) High School, as the newest addition to the Larks program.
A two-time all-Granite Ridge Conference selection in tennis, Borst was the top GRC player at two singles in 2015 and advanced to the 8AA section finals. He helped Becker High Boys Tennis to a conference title in 2013.
A three-sport athlete in high school, Borst was an all-conference soccer player and team captain his senior year, and was voted Most Improved Player after he finished fourth in his weight class at sectionals in wrestling in 2015.
Borst joins a Hesston Men’s Tennis program coming off a trip to the 2015 NJCAA National Tournament.
“I’m glad to welcome Josiah to the men’s tennis squad,” said Hesston coach Myron Diener. “As a multi-sport athlete, Josiah’s addition helps round out the squad for the coming year.”
Borst is the son of Steve and Kim Borst, Becker. He attends New Life Church, Princeton, Minn., and will study athletic training at Hesston.
