The filing deadline for the City’s spring 2016 election is January 26 at Noon. All interested parties wanting to run for council or mayor must file with the City Clerk at City Hall by this deadline. There is a $5 filing fee. Positions open are Mayor and council member seats currently held by Jeff Blixt and Jim Murrison.
If a primary election is needed, it will be held on March 1. The general election will be April 5. This will be the last spring election the City of Chapman will have due to changing regulations. Going forward, civic elections will concur with national elections in the fall. Adjustments to terms will be made accordingly.
