North Newton: Chase Banister and Taylor Hageman from Barton Community College will transfer to finish their Collegiate playing careers at Bethel.

Chase, a Redshirt Freshman at Barton, was a two time All-State Honorable Mention player and one time 2nd Team All-State player during his high school career at Douglass High School.  He averaged 17.3 Points per Game, 3.7 Assists per Game, and 3.8 Rebounds per Game during his HS career.

Coach Hoops on Chase, “Chase is a kid I’ve seen play for a long time and coached against.  His leadership skills he posses is what makes him a winning point guard.  We are very fortunate to have him transfer to Bethel.  I look forward to seeing his game grow with our program the next four years.”

Taylor will be transferring to Bethel as a Junior.  Prior to Barton Community College, he went to Cheny High School where he earned Honorable Mention in 2012 and was Second Team All-League in 2013.

Coach Hoops said that “Taylor comes to us following a very successful high school career and has used the last two years at Barton to improve his game.  He’s a high character and smart basketball player that we feel can flourish within our system.”
