The Historic Augusta Theater 80th Anniversary Celebraiton

The Historic Augusta Theater, 523 State Street, is celebrating its 80th anniversary with some old fashioned entertainment. Friday, August 19, at 7:30 pm, is a showing of the Shaggy Dog Story. Admission is 25 cents. On Sat., June 20, from 3 – 9 p, there will be free showings of classic cartoons and film shorts such as Red Skelton, Jack Benny, Laurel & Hardy, Will Rogers, & W.C. Fields.  There is also a display featuring 80 years of memorabilia at the Art Centre 527 State Street. You can come & go from both of these locations. There will also be refreshments available.
