Butler County Gazette reports: As part of Augusta-based GlobalParts’ plan to supply parts and customer support to Meyers Aircraft owners, this week the company hosted a Meyers Aircraft Fly-In at the Augusta Municipal Airport. Owners and pilots of the Meyers planes arrived on Wednesday, enjoyed hospitality hosted by Intercepter and dinner that evening at the Stearman Bar & Grill, located at the Benton Airport. The visitors toured NIAR headquarters at WSU and NCAT campus at Jabara Airport. They enjoyed lunch at Old Town and then toured the NIAR test facility in north Wichita and the Global Parts facilities at the Augusta Airport and in Augusta. A day trip to Hutchinson was featured on Friday, which included a tour of the Salt Mine, the Kansas Cosmosphere, and dinner at Carriage Crossing in Yoder. Saturday’s events included a free public pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. and a chance for the public to view the Meyers aircraft.
