Supporters encouraged to attend January 25 city council meeting
Buhler, Kansas – January 15, 2016 – Buhler based IdeaTek Telcom announced today plans to bring its signature gigabit internet to the city of Andale, KS. Upon city council approval, work will begin on infrastructure, with plans to roll out ultrafast, unlimited internet to the first Andale businesses and homes this summer.
IdeaTek has successfully deployed fiber internet to select small cities in south central Kansas, most recently in Moundridge. “With this service,” said IdeaTek CEO Jerrod Reimer, “Andale will be among an elite few cities in Kansas who can claim internet connectivity at speeds as fast as anywhere in the world. Our subscribers won’t be limited by bandwidth or inconsistent connection speeds, allowing them to operate multiple devices, watch uninterrupted TV streaming, play high capacity games and use the internet in ways never before imagined”
Andale’s city council will consider a franchise agreement with IdeaTek at their next meeting on January 25 at 7:00 p.m. Those interested in gigabit internet service are encouraged to attend the meeting at city hall, 326 N. Main, to show their support.
“As a company that has focused on providing next generation technology services to underserved Kansas communities for more than 15 years, we’re excited to invest in the city of Andale,” said Daniel Friesen, IdeaTek’s founder and CIO. “Our passion is to deliver world class internet to communities with the foresight to embrace the significant economic advantages and quality of life benefits it offers.”
