Hutch Regional is a part of an event slated for 6 p.m. Wednesday April 28th at the Fox Theatre.

Hutch Regional is donating an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to the Fox. This device is capable of analyzing the heart rhythm in individuals who are experiencing sudden cardiac issues. The AED will deliver an electrical shock to restore normal heart rhythm. AEDs were created to put this life saving treatment into the hands of the general public with little to no training.

Dr. Mike Hagley, Interventional Cardiologist at Hutch Regional, will make remarks at the event. Jill Baldwin with the Heart and Vascular Unit at Hutch Regional, will demonstrate the AED and respond to questions. Jill has been with Hutch Regional for 13 years.

Also, Hutch Regional is donating several First Aid Kits to the Fox.

Following the Hutch Regional part of program, the Hutchinson Police Department will be on hand for After Shooting Training. Hutch Regional is not a part of the After Shooting Training so I will defer any comment on that to Chuck Miller, Executive Director of the Fox.

The event should conclude at 7 p.m.
