Do you all know any Grammar Nazi’s? Just try writing and see how many are out there. Many times it is someone you know and like but they just cannot help but tell you just how you used the wrong word.
I tell people who are curious (and there aren’t many) that I have a speech vernacular and I sometimes write this way to make a point. And sometimes I just mess up. (my spelling is venacular, the computer is telling me I just spelled it wrong, It means I speak funny. I write that way too).
When I say ‘Bold face liar’ it is a lot worse than the common Bald’ face liar. If ya don’t get it I am sorry. But if you don’t read on that is your fault. And when you contact me and tell me that you lost me after ‘Bold’ you are not gently trying to correct me you are just being mean and that does not become you.
And if I want to ‘set’ down instead of ‘sit’ down you know what I mean and maybe there is more to it than just a misuse of the word.
Since I hate to be lied to I put emphasis on the word by the spelling. I am sure that my grammar teacher is cringing when ever she sees my stories, but it is her intelligence that makes her understand the story.
You may think that I am criticizing my own grammar Nazi’s. I am only letting them know that 99% of my readers get the stories and like them. At least that is the ratio of responses from people that I get comments from.
If I want to say that that thar was funny, you can bank on people knowing what I just said. Now I am goin to bird dog out of here for some dinner and take a nap before supper.
