Elections are in process. The billionaire Koch brothers are oiling their sluice gates for cash flow. The state’s chief election officer, Secretary of State Kris Kobach is not even pretending objective oversight, having labeled the League of Women Voters “communists,” and installed his pet to head the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and to fix electronic voting machines. Our Republican, far-right legislature is working overtime to force its control on local government, public schools and the courts, among other entities.
We’ll leave corruption to the experts, and busy ourselves for now with a slightly more creative pursuit ‒ bumper stickers. You’re welcome to send your own, but to start the process we’ll offer a couple from the last election plus some newer possibilities:
