Well, It seems as though things are finally looking up. Unless of course, you follow cryptocurrency trends, which took a hit a few days ago. Given how unpredictable that specific market is, however, you can probably bet that it’ll go back up at some point.
Cryptocurrency aside, the rest of the world seems to be getting better. Summer weather is just around the corner and everyone seems to mimic its bright and happier ambiance. We at the Messenger certainly hope that’s the case, mostly because, we (like everyone else), are also tired of all this nonsense. That being said, let’s take a look at some things that aren’t nonsense.
Starting of course, with the finale of the school year. Now, most schools have already had their graduation, but for many, the end of the year has still yet to come. It is close though, and just think of all the help you can have around the house with your young ones around all the time. Just kidding, but really, be that as it may, the end of the school year also means the beginning of summer, which means the beginning of camping.
If you’re like me, you love having a break from the complex world around us. There’s just something about waking up in the cool dew of morning and the smell of Dad’s fire-cooked breakfast, that gets to you, just like the way spending wind-chilled nights by the dying embers of a campfire and listening to the insects and sounds of nature soothes you.
When it comes to the year 2020, we can all agree that it was bad. It was annoying and we learned more about people’s political stances than we ever wanted to know in the first place. Despite all that, recent surveys show that a lot of Americans thought that the year 2020 made them a better person overall. In fact, a majority of them believed so, claiming that it made them more attentive to the needs of others. That same poll showed that a great number of Americans have been more actively embracing the idea of neighborly love since March of last year. This survey was conducted by OnePoll in conjunction with an organization known as “Eyes of Hope”.
We’ve all heard of self-help, spiritual walks, and other guru-related practices. Well, this guy isn’t it, but he is super cool. Dr. Guru, is his name, and his practice makes his fame (sorry about that one). Regardless though, Dr. Khurshid Guru is a well renowned medical practitioner. Very recently, this was proven while midway on an 8-hour oceanic flight when a child suffered an asthma attack without access to his medicine. The child’s medication was locked with his other luggage. Making do with what he had, Dr. Guru fashioned a nebulizer and helped stabilize the child. This is one of the examples of great human ingenuity that simply does not get discussed on mainstream media.
Overall, these are examples of endless good things that happen in our world. Indeed, many good deeds go completely unnoticed by anyone else. As unfortunate as that may be, it’s our job to make sure that we remember those instances of good human action. Those moments where it doesn’t seem like something good will come of it, but human kindness still shows through. If you haven’t yet, take some time to appreciate those around you. You don’t have to do it verbally, just think to yourself, how valuable the things around you are. It’s a good world, and we can make it better.
