In order to understand that quote you have to have a small bit of education to understand it. But this is why it is said that ‘those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it’.
I see myself as a person who is very accepting the differences of others. I do not brow beat others for not believing in what I do. It is nice if there is some consistency in others beliefs.
I have mentioned many times that I do not unfriend people on my Facebook page for being different. If we all were the same how boring would that be?
But I did drop a friend today. I do not care if you love or hate our president, I will not tolerate someone who openly advocates for our president to be killed. There is no joke in this attitude. I take it seriously. I did not like nor approve of our former president and his actions, but I never said that he should be killed. I find this attitude to be beyond childish and ignorant.
We can disagree over anything but I will not tolerate anyone who pushes for the death of the president. Life is hard enough without the hate that seems to pervade society today.
Our nation is strong because of our differences. Our Republic depends on people to bind together in common cause but respect the individual. We are built upon common values and yet respect the individual. That is why we are not a Democracy for Democracy is mob rule.
I am privileged to be able to put my thoughts into this place. This does not happen in any place else in the world.
