The Kansas Wheat Commission and the Taiwan Flour Mills Association will recognize a significant trade partnership during a signing ceremony at the Kansas State Capitol Sept. 18, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. The ceremony commemorates Taiwan Flour Mills Association’s willingness to purchase 1.7 million metric tons of wheat (equivalent to 62.5 million bushels) in 2016 and 2017. A significant portion of this commitment will be provided by Kansas wheat farms. The value of this purchase has been estimated to equal approximately $544 million.

There will be limited seating for delegation, invited guests and members of the media. Individuals who have questions about the signing ceremony or would like to observe the ceremony should contact Kansas Department of Agriculture International Trade Director Suzanne Ryan at [email protected] for more information.
