Two people were arrested Sunday morning following a pursuit that ended at the Sedgwick-Harvey county line. A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper tried to stop a vehicle around 10:30 a.m. near 13th Street and K-96 in Wichita. Lt. Carl Mackey said when the trooper tried to initiate the traffic stop, a nearby pickup ran a stop sign and sped off. The trooper chased the truck through northeast Sedgwick County until the truck ran into a ditch at Rock Road and 125th Street. Lt. Mackey said the pickup was going about 70 miles-per-hour. The driver, a 33-year-old man was arrested for DUI, felony flee and elude, reckless driving and possession of synthetic drugs. There’s no word on potential charges for the passenger. No names were released.
