Abilene resident Samantha Geissinger moved Monday from a brief term on the Arts Council of Dickinson County board to being the council’s new director and staff of one. The council encouraged the presence of the arts in Dickinson County since its formation in 1981 because of the many volunteers who support the council. The arts council director is responsible for coordinating the council’s sponsored events, fundraising and seeking donors.
