El Dorado: Crews are working to clean up 500 barrels of diesel fuel that the Magellan Company says spilled into Constant Creek Monday morning. They contained the contamination to the creek using containment booms to keep diesel from spilling into Walnut River. Officials say there are using multiple vacuum trucks to clean up the spill. The pipeline runs from El Dorado to Kansas City and carries several different chemicals, but was carrying diesel fuel when the incident happened. They isolate the section of the pipeline where the incident occurred and it will remain shut down until they are able to get it repaired safely. The company is conducting air quality control to determine impact of spill on community. There is currently no timeline on the cleanup efforts.
