KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Monday that 131 Division II men’s basketball student-athletes have been named 2014-15 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Bethel College’s Tanner Steingard (SR/Henderson, Neb.) and Jenson Kingsley (JR/Newton, Kan.) both earned a spot on the list of Scholar Athletes.
AIB (Iowa) leads all institutions with five individuals on the list.
Seven KCAC institutions are represented with Ottawa University and Sterling College leading the way with three-student-athletes honored. The group consists of seven juniors and seven seniors.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
