(February 16, 2018 Fredonia, KS,) – The class of 1963 has established the Legacy Project Scholarship for graduating Fredonia High School seniors and alum pursuing an advanced degree. The scholarship cycle managed through Central Kansas Community Foundation, in support of Fredonia Area Community Foundation, is open February 19, 2018 through March 16, 2018. This is the first year this scholarship opportunity has been available.
The scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to current graduating Fredonia High School seniors, USD #484, and Fredonia High School graduates, who are furthering their careers through higher educational or vocational pursuits, either full-time or part-time. In addition to candidates being associated with Fredonia High School, qualified individuals are those who plan to attend a college, university, junior college, vocational or technical school.
There is approximately $3,000 available for scholarships. The number of scholarships awarded, and amounts will be determined during the selection process.
