Western Music Hall of Famer to Make Final Kansas Performance
Cowboy singer and Country Music star, Rex Allen Jr. has announced that he will retire in October. Prior to retirement, Allen has planned for one final performance in Kansas, which will take place on Saturday, March 11 at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper.
Rex Allen Jr., who is a member of the Western Music Hall of Fame, has had success with songs like, “The Last of the Silver Screen Cowboys,” “Can You Hear Those Pioneers,” “Ride Cowboy Ride,” “Lonely Street,” “It’s Over,” and many more. He is also known for his many TV appearances on shows like Yesteryear and The Statler Brothers Show. In 2006, Allen was a part of the Great American Cowboy in China tour.
The evening activities will begin at 5PM with horse-drawn wagon rides and classic cowboy movies. The Silver Screen Cowboy Museum will also be open. Dinner is at 6:30, with the Rex Allen Jr. show to follow. Cost for the entire evening’s activities, including the all-you-can-eat chuckwagon supper, is $45.
