Approximately 20 local non-profit agencies serving the Newton community have joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. The local event, #GiveNow|Newton, will take place in the Newton Recreation Gym on November 29 from 3-7 P.M. The event will play host to local charities and is a hub for anyone in Newton and surrounding communities wishing to donate money during the holiday season.
