The third annual Vesper Vintage is fast approaching. Be sure to mark you calendars for September 24th to attend this popular event. The show runs 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the old high school gym in Vesper, KS; 1247 North 120th Road, half a mile south of Highway 18, between Lincoln and Sylvan Grove.
Immediately after last year’s event, the planning committee of Anne Grace, Kerry Isbell, and Pam Morgan began strategizing for the 2016 annual Vesper Vintage. A satisfaction survey was mailed to each vendor, and many of their suggestions will be implemented to make this year’s event even better. Vendor selection was a juried process again this year. Not only is the duplication of items avoided, but new vendors are introduced in order to keep things fresh. The eclectic vendors will have items ranging from vintage to re-purposed to rustic to handmade. Fall plants will also be available. By whatever name, it is cool stuff and you will want it.
In addition to the 26 vendors, there will be five food areas. The Vesper Community Center will be serving their almost world-famous hamburgers, along with bierocks, and cinnamon rolls.
Elsie Driscoll will have her chicken chili with and without beans, and oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies. Bake sale items will be provided by Bullfoot Creek/ Sylvan Hustlers 4-H Club. Anne
Grace will be serving sliced apples with caramel sauce from her vintage camper, Daisy. The Township Mobile Café, of Lyons, KS, will have breakfast sandwiches to begin, then switch to a lunch menu.
