Joey and Lindsey Young, majority owners of the Hillsboro Free Press, have purchased the Herington Times. The Herington Times became available after the staff were notified by email that the newspaper would close on August 4. The Youngs are hoping to build up the Herington Times to a quality publication that can be a watchdog, advocate and reliable source for local news.
