State of our Nation

My thoughts on the current turmoil our nation faces:

Various social, political, and cultural movements have done a good job of convincing us that people with other shades of skin are the enemy.

Certain economic groups have done a good job of convincing us that either the very rich or the very poor are the enemy.

Certain elites have done a good job of convincing us that “uneducated” citizens are the enemy.

Pacifists have done a good job of convincing us that weapons and all who own weapons are the enemy.

Politicians have done a good job convincing us that the other party is the enemy.

Anarchists have done a good job convincing us that law enforcement is the enemy.

Secular philosophers have done a good job of convincing us that all people of faith are the enemy.

And yet the real enemy has done an excellent job of convincing us that neither he nor God exists, and that we are all each other’s enemy.

Continually we are bombarded with opinions and messages of who the enemy is, while the real enemy laughs and God sheds a tear.

No wonder we keep seeing crazy things escalating all the more out of control amongst ourselves. How sad that we have gotten to such a place. Republican, Democrat, Conservative, and Liberal all bear the responsibility and share the blame.

It’s only when we decide to submit to the King of kings and the Lord of lords that we will find peace, both internally and amongst ourselves.

My two cents…
