Exploration Place – the Sedgwick County Science and Discovery Center – today announced U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) will tour the facility on Saturday, May 14.

During the tour, Exploration Place president, Jan Luth will share details about the museum’s successful efforts with its massive outreach programming, which serves about 70,000 children throughout the region and state.

In addition, Luth will talk with him about special projects with Wichita’s Hyde Elementary and 3rd/4th graders in Sumner County. Museum educators have been teaching in these locations and their efforts have been professionally evaluated – showing amazing positive results and impact on students and teachers.

Sen. Moran has been an advocate for STEM education, and one of his priorities as a United States Senator is to make certain that Kansas kids who enjoy science, mathematics, and technology have the opportunity to pursue those careers in Kansas.
