Beginning Sunday, May 1, Costco Wholesale, 9700 E. Kellogg, is kicking off a month-long campaign to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health.

Costco will host a Miracle Balloon Campaign where club members will be invited to make a donation at the time of checkout and personalize the balloons, which will be displayed at the front of the warehouse. Costco also has partnered with local businesses who have made a donation to CMN Hospitals and will display a specialized banner recognizing their business in the warehouse during the campaign.

Miss Kansas, Hannah Marie Wagner, along with a family who has been helped by CMN Hospitals, will visit the warehouse 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, to thank associates and customers for their support. At the local, state and national levels, the Miss America Organization raises funds annually for CMN Hospitals.

The Costco Wholesale Corporation has raised more than $275 million for CMN Hospitals since 1988. CMN Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America.  As of 2016, Costco specifically raises funds for 109 CMN Hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Since 1983, CMN Hospitals has raised more than $5 billion, most of it $1 at a time.

Services provided by CMN Hospitals include but are not limited to assisting with medications, lodging, therapy assistance, medical equipment and other needs associated with the care of a sick child both while they are being treated in Via Christi hospitals and clinics or at home.
