Two Kingman High School graduates recently accepted scholarships at Fort Hays State University.
Desirah Hughes, a Hutchinson Community College transfer student and a 2014 Kingman High School graduate, accepted a $1,000 Transfer Student Award. Hughes, daughter of Harold and Jami Hughes, Kingman, plans to major in radiologic technology.
Jordan Thimesch, a 2016 Kingman High School graduate, accepted a $2,000 University Scholar Award and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Thimesch, daughter of Tim and Brenda Thimesch, Kingman, plans to major in accounting.
