The Kansas Department of Education announced that Valley Center Intermediate School has been designated one of three State Schools of Character by Character.org, a nonprofit group based in Washington, D.C. The other two schools are Lincoln Elementary School in Clay Center and Kiowa County Elementary and Junior High School in Greensburg. The three schools will be honored May 6 in Topeka.
